My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapy and guided by each person’s unique story. Drawing from CBT, DBT, EFT, and mindfulness, I help clients understand how their experiences shape the ways they think, feel, and move through the world, building insight, resilience, and practical tools to live more fully.
I work in a way that is strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and relational, creating a space where you are seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner voice, reclaim your power, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and growth.

ABOUT ME
Welcome to Alined Counselling and Consulting Services. My name is Juliet Akhadia, MSW, RSW, and I am the Principal Psychotherapist at Alined Counselling and Consulting Services. For over a decade, I have walked alongside individuals and communities through healing, transformation, and self-discovery.
My path has been shaped by both lived experience and leadership across policy tables, community programs, and clinical spaces, supporting people navigating crisis, oppression, identity, and growth. I draw upon trauma therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based approaches, integrating them into a holistic practice that honours the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
As a Black woman and community advocate, I understand the depth of resilience it takes to navigate systems, identity, and change. That lived experience, combined with years of clinical and leadership work, allows me to create spaces that are both safe and transformative.
Alined Counselling is more than a therapy practice; it is a space to pause, breathe, and rediscover yourself. Life happens and sometimes schedules change. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, are charged the full fee.
